The Lip Bar Announces Bawse Ventures: Empowering BIPOC and Women Entrepreneurs

The Lip Bar, a trailblazing beauty brand known for its inclusive products, has launched Bawse Ventures, a micro-fund aimed at supporting the next generation of BIPOC and women entrepreneurs.

Recognizing the challenges many small businesses face, particularly those within minority communities, Bawse Ventures will provide crucial financial resources in the form of grants and seed funding.

Most small businesses aren’t large enough to secure venture capital, and traditional business loans are often out of reach. Bawse Ventures bridges that gap by understanding that you might not need a million dollars. Still, even $10,000 can make a huge difference in funding inventory or taking your business to the next level.

This initiative stems from The Lip Bar’s own experience as a community-driven business. “It is our community who allowed us to make history and now it’s time for us to give that same love, care and contribution back,” says Melissa, founder and CEO of The Lip Bar.

Who can apply?

Bawse Ventures is seeking applications from BIPOC-owned businesses with a minimum of $50,000 in annual revenue.

This program is designed to foster a spirit of self-belief and empower BIPOC and women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams without fear.
