One of the houses of Detroit’s internationally known art exhibit ‘The Heidelberg Project” has been destroyed by a fire.

Jenenne Whitfield, the project’s executive director, said an overnight fire destroyed one of the project’s most popular structures, Obstruction of Justice House, also known as the OJ House. Whitfield said she began to receive calls from neighbors reporting the fire around 3:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Founder and artistic director, Ty Guyton has been too distraught for comment. Stay tuned to MichiganChronicle.com for further updates.
