“I am elated about the opportunity to work with an organization that provides fun programming like The Improv Project ,” Wallington said. “I think programs like this are pivotal for students’ futures because it helps them become better communicators and fast thinkers.”

Wallington launched Love Publicity, a public relations agency headquartered in Detroit, in 2011. She has worked with more than 100 start-ups and nonprofits and is currently the Program Director for the National Black Public Relations Society of Detroit. Wallington brings deep relationships with local and national media and community involvement from her years in the industry.
In her role, Wallington will be responsible for developing and implementing the DCP’s community engagement strategy in the Detroit area and online. She also will develop and implement a communications plan and calendar that supports the community engagement strategy.
“We’re thrilled to have Teia expertise and insight for The Detroit Creativity Project, especially at a time when we are developing our online community,” said founder and president, Marc Evan Jackson. “Working together will help us reach more students, families, schools, and program alumni outside of our improv classes. We also hope to create new mentoring opportunities for the students we serve in the metro Detroit community and increase the number and range of voices in The Improv Project.”
