8 Tips For Mitt Romney: How To Not Completely Suck In First Debate

Hey Mitt: You don’t know who I am nor would you give a single damn if you did given my place in our current tax bracket. But you and I both know that your campaign is about as hot in these streets as a cassette copy of “Please, Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em.” So in light of the debate, I’m here to give you some advice. Take it because it beats what you’ve been getting, if I do say so myself — and I do. SEE MORE: Rick Ross, Young Jeezy Brawl At BET Awards[1] 1. Cash these reality checks. Will a strong performance magically alter your state in the race? Political BFF Chris Christie would like to argue so, but most with significant knowledge of political history suggest otherwise. Sucks, right? Oh, well, we’re all here to play along, though some play better than others. See the state-by-state polls. By the way, regarding the recent pledge[2] you made to “fact check” President Barack Obama, dude, look the man in the mirror and ask him to change his ways before you even dare critique another. 2. It’s On! Obama And Romney To Face Off Tonight

DENVER — President Barack Obama (pictured left) and Republican Mitt Romney (pictured) come face to face for the first time in this presidential campaign Wednesday night for a nationally televised debate that will give millions of Americans a chance to size up two fierce competitors in a moment of high-risk theater. SEE ALSO: Mitt Romney’s Garbage Man Blasts Him In New Ad[1] Romney, trailing in polls in a number of key states and running short on time to reverse his fortunes, is angling for a breakout performance in the three 90-minute presidential debates scheduled over the next three weeks. Obama, well aware that the remaining five weeks of the race still offer enough time for tectonic shifts in his prospects, is determined to avoid any campaign-altering mistakes as he presses his case for a second term. A pre-debate skirmish Tuesday over Vice President Joe Biden‘s passing reference to “a middle class that has been buried the last four years” demonstrated how just a few words can mushr ...

Mitt Romney’s Garbage Man Blasts Him In New Ad

This week, the American Federation of State, County, and Muncipal Employees (AFSCME) released an anti-Mitt Romney ad that criticizes Romney’s 47 percent comments[1] with the plight of Richard Hayes, a garbage man who actually services Romney’s house and neighborhood. To Hayes, Romney’s disparaging comments prove that he — and other workers like him — are “invisible” to Romney and his ilk. SEE ALSO: FOX News Interview Illustrates Why Romney/Ryan Ticket Is A Fail[2] With spots that show Hayes jumping out of a garbage truck outside of Romney’s multi-million-dollar home, Hayes explains why his job as a sanitation worker is important: “My name is Richard Hayes, and I pick up Mitt Romney’s trash. We’re kind of like the invisible people. He doesn’t realize that the service we provide — if it wasn’t for us, it would be a big health issue, us not picking up trash.” Hayes then brings out the hammer on Romney when he says that while residents appreciate his efforts, Romney doesn’t: “Residents do c ...

On The Ropes? Mitt Romney’s Big White Problem

Should Mitt Romney (pictured) be panicking? His campaign has reportedly decided to abruptly shift its strategy[1]. With poll after poll unanimously showing an upswing for President Barack Obama, it has finally dawned on Team Romney that a White House bid built on largely dishonest damning of Obama while being disingenuous about his own vision for the country won’t be enough to win in November. Whatever new message Romney and co. come up wih, though, there’s reason to wonder if he is too late to resonate with the voters he needs most. RELATED: Why Unions May Hurt Obama[2] Strategists in both parties figure that to offset the president’s expected landslide among an expanding electorate of Blacks and Hispanics — Obama won 80 percent of minority votes in 2008 — Romney must garner more than 60 percent of the White vote overall. The only people who enjoy 60 percent of the White vote are Jesus, Elvis, and maybe Oprah — before her Obama endorsement. It remains to be seen if Obama will match his 2 ...

Mitt Romney: I’d Be Winning If My Parents Were Mexican; My Job Is Not To ‘Worry About Those People’

After officially accepting his party’s presidential nomination, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney was secretly recorded in a video secured by news magazine Mother Jones[1] at a fund-raising event. While there, Romney talked with well-heeled campaign donors about voters who support President Barack Obama: “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.” “[M]y job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibilityand care for their lives.”We really shouldn’t be sur...
