Sheriff Napoleon Kicks Off First Christmas Party

225Benny-Napoleon-revised

Christmas will be brighter this year for dozens of children when Sheriff Benny Napoleon and his many elves spread gifts and Christmas cheer throughout Wayne County.

On Dec. 15 from 5 to 9 p.m., Sheriff Napoleon (along with Local 3317 and P.O.A.M.) will host the party benefiting the  Goodfellows “No Child Without a Christmas” at Blondies, 2281 W. Fort Street (at 14th St., near the Ambassador Bridge.

It’s a massive and heartwarming endeavor conducted by hundreds of Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies who raise money to buy toys they will deliver to area children at Christmas.  (Families are identified and pre-selected in advance based on need).

The party — co-sponsored by the Wayne County Youth and Senior Education Fund — will feature silent and live auctions, food and music.  Former Piston “Bad Boy” Rick MaHorn is also joining the fun and other prominent guests are expected.

The public is invited to share in the celebration. Every $20 ticket purchased goes entirely to buying gifts for the kids.
