Seniors invited to compete in Detroit Senior Olympics

Seniors Exercising If you are at least 50 years of age, you are invited to participate in the 32nd Annual Detroit Senior Olympics June 13-15.  If you want to see how you match up against others your age in various events — and have a great time too — register by June 10 and receive the early bird registration rate of only $15.  The on-site registration fee is $25.
The Senior Olympics, sponsored by the Detroit Parks & Recreation Department and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, features a wide variety of sports events, games, and other activities including golf, bowling, swimming, basketball, track, and horseshoes, frisbee toss, table tennis, arts & crafts and baking.
Register in person any Detroit recreation center during normal operating hours at the Northwest Activities Center located at 18100 Meyers Rd between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or by mail by Friday, June 10.  Participants may also register on-site at Williams Recreation Center, 8431 Rosa Parks Blvd., on June 14, or at Adams/Butzel Complex, 10500 Lyndon, on June 15.
