Robert Reaves, MBA (age 31) –  is Director of Accreditation at the nation’s largest medical school, the Wayne State University School of Medicine – a 150-year-old institution that produces 40% of doctors in the State of Michigan. The work that Reaves does has a direct impact on 1,200 medical students, six hospital affiliates and health outcomes in Detroit — the city where he was born and raised. Since beginning his work with the School of Medicine in 2016, Reaves has successfully collaborated with top leaders to develop and execute strategies to drive operational improvements, educational quality, and institutional effectiveness.

In addition to his efforts on behalf of the university, Reaves is a results-oriented community leader. He is currently President of the WSU Alumni Association Board of Directors; Chair of Strategic Planning at Ronald McDonald House Charities Detroit; and an Ambassador to the Michigan Opera Theatre. His volunteer work involves fundraising, strategic planning, and community outreach to help provide disadvantaged youth with access to cultural arts; scholarships to lower socioeconomic students; and housing to families with sick children receiving treatment at local hospitals.
