“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore went in hard for fellow cast member Nene Leakes for allegedly reneging on a promise to donate money to Moore’s hometown school district.
In an interview, Moore called Leakes a “ghetto, classless beast” because Leakes failed to fulfill an agreement for the two of them to donate $20,000 to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation, Moore’s old stomps.
“I think that it is typical NeNe!” Moore said to HipHollywood.com.
“She is really, to me, showing the disgusting part of her personality. It doesn’t have anything to do with me or you. It’s not a pissing contest. Give the money to the kids in the city of Detroit for their education.”
Moore said she has already cut a check for $20,000 to the DPSF.
The warring factions began beefing over the airwaves when Leakes agreed to match Moore’s donation to the school system but so far has yet to pony up a single cent.
“It has nothing to do with whether you like me or when you said you were going to donate it, or when I said it,” Moore continued. “She is the one who said, ‘I write the check, you write the check, we write it together.’ But I wrote the check first.”
Moore, 43, now believes that Leakes, 47, “clearly she has no intention” of following through on her philanthropic promise for the beleaguered school system that is wrought with financial
“I think it really shows the type of person she is,” she blasted. “You can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the girl. She is a ghetto, classless beast for cheating those kids out of $20,000. They need it. She has it.”
Leakes, quite naturally, defended herself when she spoke to Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live.”
Leakes says she will give the Detroit school system the money “when I feel like it.”
As for Moore vicious swipe at her, Leakes quickly swatted Moore away: “Girl, bye. You’re not a part of this circle and never will be!”
