‘RHOA’ ratings plummet without Nene Leakes

Maybe Nene Leakes really is that chick.
The Season 8 premiere of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” nosedived with the absence of the “I’m Rich B—-” Nene Leakes to shoulder the charisma quotient ont he show.
Sheree Whitfield’s explosive return — where she was goaded into an bird beef with professional trash starter Kenya Moore — toward the end of the show was not enough to push RHOA’s number to the previous season’s numbers.
The numbers for the inaugural episode of Season 8 have come back and it shows that 2.968 million viewers tuned in for the premiere Sunday night, a decline of almost a million from Season 7’s 3.8 million, the lowest number for a season-opener in three years.
The latest numbers released and published by Showbuzz Daily, shows that The Walking Dead ripped the competition for Sunday evenings, while RHOA was posted up strong at No. 3. However, the sharp drop in viewership caught executive’s attention, which is why Bravo honchos kissed Leakes’ ring in an effort to successfully woe her back into the RHOA fold.
