This year’s Drum Major for Justice recipient was Rev. Glenn G. Grayson Sr., pastor of Wesley Center AMEZ Church, honored for his many years of dedication to the community and “the cause.”
The award was named after King’s “Drum Major Instinct” sermon, during which he said, “If you want to say that I was a drum major, say I was a drum major for justice. Say that I was a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness.”
