Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM) will host the Reimagine Summit: Project Moonshot, a two-day event on August 5th and 6th, 2024, 9 AM – 8 PM at Newlab @ Michigan Central in Detroit. This summit will gather national and state leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders to explore and benchmark BGCSM’s innovative approach to youth development and social impact.
BGCSM has developed a model that has been recognized for its effectiveness and adaptability, attracting attention from major markets such as Atlanta, Harlem, Richmond, Austin, and the Twin Cities. The Reimagine Summit is designed to provide a platform for other Boys & Girls Clubs to learn from BGCSM’s strategies and consider how to implement similar methods in their communities. The event will feature presentations, workshops, and discussions focused on replicable and scalable solutions for youth development.
The summit will feature key speakers including Shawn H. Wilson, President and CEO of BGCSM, Alise Dixon, Chief Program Officer for BGCSM, Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, and Hiram Jackson, CEO of Real Times Media. Leaders from Boys & Girls Clubs of America and state innovators in youth development will also participate, providing diverse perspectives on community impact and youth programming.
The event underscores BGCSM’s leadership in the field and its commitment to sharing best practices with other organizations. Media representatives are invited to cover the event, with opportunities for interviews to gain insights into the strategies being discussed.
