Regional Transit Authority Expands D2A2 Service for MSU vs. U-M Showdown with Special Late-Night Rides on October 26

The Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA) is excited to announce a special late-night service for its D2A2 route on Saturday, October 26, to accommodate fans attending the highly anticipated MSU vs. U of M football game, which kicks off at 7:30 PM.

D2A2 will travel between Detroit and Ann Arbor all day, offering eight routes from Downtown Detroit to Ann Arbor starting at 7:30 a.m. Riders will be dropped off in Downtown Ann Arbor at the Blake Transit Center, where they can walk or rely on TheRide to get to the stadium.

To ensure that attendees can get to the game and back without the hassle of parking or traffic, D2A2 will offer a special late-night run beyond its regular hours—departing Ann Arbor for Detroit at 11:55 p.m.

“These extended hours reflect our commitment to adapt to the community’s needs,” said Ben Stupka, Executive Director of the RTA. “By temporarily extending D2A2’s hours, we are enhancing convenience for fans and making it easier to enjoy the state’s biggest football rivalry without the stress of driving.”

D2A2 passengers can relax and stay for the entire game, knowing they won’t miss their bus back home. Buses have modern amenities, including comfortable seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, and charging ports.

D2A2 has seen significant growth since launching in 2020. Nearly 10,000 rides were recorded in September 2024, setting a new service record. Michigan Flyer operates the coaches.

Tickets are on sale now at d2a2.com. Customers should select the 11:55 PM departure time for the late-night service when booking. One-way fares are $8 at the door or $6 with an advance online booking discount. Discounts are also available for seniors, people with disabilities, and those purchasing a book of 10 or more tickets.
