“Mo’ Meta Blues” is not the kind of book title you hear every day but, then again, Questlove (Ahmir Thompson) is not your everyday musician or person.
Questlove is a drummer, bandleader, deejay, record producer and journalist. He and his band, the Roots, are the house band on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” Among the artists he has produced are Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Al Green, John Legend, Amy Winehouse, D’Angelo and Common.
In “Mo’ Meta Blues” Questlove, who is also noted for his massive record collection, discusses in-depth the many aspects of his musical journey. In a recent interview Questlove said, “I wasn’t writing with the expectation that periodicals and book companies would come around, but eventually that’s what happened.”
