Presidential Politics: Who’s Winning Michigan? And Why?

Presidential Politics:  Who’s Winning Michigan? And Why?
Will Donald Trump win Michigan? Can Hillary Clinton trump Bernie Sanders? Can John Kasich catch up in Michigan’s March 8 presidential primary?
IPPSR Director Matt Grossmann, a nationally known political researcher and analyst, will present results of a just-completed survey showing where the hearts and minds of Michigan voters are trending now at a news conference Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10 a.m.
The news conference will take place in Room 309B in Berkey Hall, 509 E. Circle Dr., on the campus of Michigan State University. Parking is available in East Lansing city lots across Grand River. Parking passes are also available by request.
The results come just prior to Tuesday’s presidential primary in Michigan and are based on questions asked of likely voters right up until this weekend.
This creative application of the State of the State Survey will also show if Michigan voters shifted their opinions during the survey period. The cellphone and landline survey spanned major state caucuses and primaries, including Super Tuesday, up to the weekend prior to Michigan’s vote. SOSS Director Charles Ballard, professor of economics, will also be on hand.
The news conference will also be broadcast over Zoom, an easy-to-use web conferencing software, and hosted by MSU’s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research, where SOSS makes its home.
