Chicago’s Father Michael Pfleger is well-known and well-liked for his dedication to eradicating crime and poverty in Chicago, so many in the city breathed a sigh of relief that Lidia Kuzniar, 55, a woman who had been stalking him, has finally been charged, reports The Chicago Tribune[1].

Kuzniar was arrested Sunday at 11:13 a.m. at St. Sabina Church at 1210 West 78th Place, where Pfleger is pastor, police said.
Kuzniar was arrested at the church twice before Sunday’s incident — on Nov. 8 at 9 p.m. for trespassing and on Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m. for trespassing and misdemeanor stalking, police said.
“It’s been an issue that’s developed here over the last six to eight weeks,’’ said Pfleger during a telephone interview.
Pfleger said Kuzniar interrupted services three Sundays in a row while he was celebrating Mass and also refused to leave his office. The incidents caused him to get an order of protection against the woman, he said.
“It’s just progressed and gotten more serious,’’ Pfleger said. “It’s very disturbing.’’
