Black-Owned Franchise Restaurant Pizza Cat Opens in Greektown

Pizza just got weird in Detroit.

It’s a good thing though, as the latest pizza spot, Pizza Cat, opened up in Greektown.

Pizza Cat’s menu features Midwestern Style pizza, chicken wings, chicken chunks, bagel sandwiches, snacks & desserts.

Described as a new twist on pizza, the new custom pizza restaurant celebrated its grand opening on Monday, July 18 at 407 E Fort St. in Detroit– the former Ready Player One location.

Pizza Cat is a Toledo-based full-service chain whose tagline is “keep pizza weird” and is planning to open up in the former arcade space. The restaurant has locations in Ohio and will be coming soon to Florida.

Pizza Cat was created to embrace unique, wacky, fun, colorful, local, and of course his totally weird qualities.

Pizza Cat encourages imagination and diversity, with over 1,962,273 pizza combinations possible, outer space in the limit.

Dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, keto and gluten free options available– Pizza Cat believes in pizza for all. Pizza Cat believes in paying all employees a living wage and aims to hire the best possible foodservice employees in the area.
