“Women Rapping Revolution: Hip Hop and Community Building in Detroit” is a book based on the chronicles of the cultural movement We Found HipHop written by Rebekah Farrugia and Kellie D. Hay and published by University of California Press. This is a research project to raise awareness of this community and their experiences creating this movement in Detroit. During Women’s History Month in celebration of the one-year book anniversary join Carter’s virtual book club focusing on the book with the author in a virtual series on her Instagram @PiperCarter and @WeFoundHipHop.
