PINK PUMP & West ELM Closes Out Women’s History Month With A Bang

PINK PUMP X WEST ELM 7Thursday, March 31, 2016 PINK PUMP and West Elm joined forces to celebrate Women’s History Month with fashion, style and art along with this seasons hottest trends. West Elm, a modern furniture store that helps their customers express their personal style at home and PINK PUMP, a new shoe and clothing boutique both share a mission to empower their customers and community through the world of style, fashion and inspiration.

“A Night Out with PINK PUMP” was West Elm’s first-ever collaborative pop-up shop retail event. The event featured award-winning visual artist, Barbara Johnson of Walls of Virtue and the Detroit Garment Group, a non-profit that cultivates education and economic development opportunities for Michigan’s fashion community. Both PINK PUMP and West Elm offered special discounts and sales with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Detroit Garment Group. Guests were able to enjoy tranquilizing sounds by Andre, The Cool DJ, delectable fare provided by Platinum Chef Catering and calming spirits poured by Eliot Banks, Bankable Marketing. About 150 people attended yesterday’s magical event in support of Women’s History Month.

“A Night Out with PINK PUMP at West ELM” bestowed a chance to highlight the excellent work of Michigan’s art and fashion industry leaders in addition to celebrating the work and community efforts of the Detroit Garment Group.
