Black success really rankles the sensitivities of mainstream America. First, the New York Times insults Shonda Rhymes before her two hit shows premiered their new seasons, “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder.”
During the shows, People Magazine unleashed two dimwitted and racially insensitive observations of the starts o the shows, “Scandal’s” Kerry Washington and “How to Get Away With Murder’s” Viola Davis.
You’d think People mag would tread more carefully across the racial fault line after being sued by the first-ever black editor for chronic racist behavior. But, according to their tweets during the airing of the aforementioned shows, they clearly exemplified they’ve learned absolutely nothing.
First, there was the tweet about Kerry Washington’s hair on Scandal:
“Olivia’s back to straight hair so you KNOW she means business. #Scandal”

That tweet alone created some serious aftershocks for the popular entrainment magazine, such as:
