As Comerica Bank celebrated its 175th birthday on Aug. 17, the bank and its colleagues were out on Belle Isle early to participate in the UNCF Detroit Walk for Education. This year marks the 36th year that Comerica has supported what is one of the largest UNCF Walk for Education in the country.
The UNCF Detroit Walk for Education raised much needed funds for UNCF as well as provide necessary support for students and schools and raise awareness about 37 member institutions and HBCUs.
Since its founding in 1944, UNCF envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers, engaged citizenship and service to this nation.
