New Providence Baptist Church helps families in need

What:    Food, Clothing, Shoes and More Giveaway

Time:     9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where:   New Providence Baptist Church

            18211 Plymouth Road, Detroit, MI 48228

            (corner of Plymouth Road & Southfield Freeway)

Why:    “For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat…” Matthew 25:35  “Naked, and ye clothed me…”, Matthew 25:36

New Providence Baptist Church, Empowerment Plan Program, wants to be a blessing to the community during these tough economic times. We will give away new and gently used items (clothing, shoes, coats, accessories, infant furniture; toys and children books) “FREE” of charge to those in need.

New Providence Baptist Church, Empowerment Plan Program is partnering with Forgotten Harvest; who will donate food and perishable items towards their food program. The Community Enrichment Food Enrichment Program is on a first come basis for low income and financially distressed families. Participants must bring picture identification, provide proof of income and complete registration form.

In addition, local organizations (Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP); DTE Home Energy Consultation Program; Neighborhood Service Organization will participate in this “FREE” event and distribute material on their “FREE” health screening, energy home assessment, food, health and utility assistance programs.
