The city of Southfield will hold a Northland Public Input Meeting on Tuesday, August 23 from 6– 8 p.m. in the Southfield Public Library Auditorium, 26300 Evergreen Road.
As the city continues to pave the way for redevelopment of the former Northland Center property, the public is invited to “Imagine the Possibilities” and share their ideas for the future of the former mall site. Representatives from OHM Advisors, an integrated architecture, engineering and planning firm selected by the city as master planner, will be on hand to gain input from the community on the redevelopment plans for Northland Center. The firm will also present the latest master plan or vision for the Northland redevelopment.
Residents will be engaged at the event in visioning activities to consider the opportunities for the site, and identify specific types of activities and uses that will best serve the community at this landmark location. The meeting will include activities and discussion forums in a fun, open, and engaging format. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. For those unable to attend, please visit the project Web site to contribute your ideas online at www.ImagineNorthland.com.
