North Carolina Police Kills Unarmed Father of 10 Kids 

Last Wednesday morning a Black man and resident in North Carolina was killed by a sheriff’s deputy while serving a warrant, Black America Web reported. This was less than 24 hours after the guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd and  Ma’Khia Bryant who was shot by a cop in Ohio, according to the article.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Andrew Brown Jr. The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office did not identify the officer that opened fire on Brown, according to the article.

The family of the victim described that the father of 10 children was unarmed at the time of the shooting, per the article. It was reported that up to eight gunshots were heard, where Brown died on the scene.

A Reporter, Jason Marks, who was on the scene, described it as “very tense” and “lots of emotions.”

A county sheriff Tom Wooten II held a press conference for updates on the situation, according to the story. Protesters called for the release of body camera footage after man fatally shot by deputy in Elizabeth City, NC.
