“You give people a good product and they will respond,” exclaims Avenue International Kitchen business owner Vince Sheffield to guests and 105. 9 radio personality Angie Starr at the restaurant’s grand opening Friday morning. The newest addition to the Avenue of Fashion’s restaurant row  located just north of 7 Mile Rd. 19163 Livernois Ave. is co-owned by Lisa Sutton and Vincent Sheffield.

The Avenue International Kitchen restaurant experience includes an expansive menu of offerings to give customers and the community choice local favorites. Operating on an “ask and supply” relationship with locals, Avenue International Kitchen has created three restaurant concepts under one roof. From fresh homemade pizzas, to subs and shawarmas, and rice bowls/tacos brimming with a variety of toppings, customers will be more than satisfied. To further the unique concept that is the Avenue International Kitchen, owners proudly mention that they are the only pizzeria to not use the ill-advised Potassium bromate 3 in any dough and are striving to add turkey pepperoni and bacon to their toppings. making their offerings appealing to many people watching what they eat.

The story behind the business:

Both Ms. Sutton and Mr. Sheffield were partners before with the well known pizza company Papa Johns, but after seeing a lack of variety in the menu they decided to take the reigns on their own food business. Though they were already on the Avenue south of 7 mile, they decided to stay due to this being the safest area according to police, number one voting area in the city, as well as it being an all around great place to grow a business. Though there are a few eateries already on the Avenue this one’s unique approach to food as well as business helps set it apart. Not only are the owners working to grow their business, but through the power of visual and audio media productions, they are promoting collaboration with other business. Aiming to shop at local markets such as Eastern Market  for fresh produce, this kitchen offers the best in city influenced food, making this really about the need for healthy eating in the community.

Strengthening local promotional marketing; at the grand opening on Friday morning at 8 a.m., FM radio station 105.9 with Angie Starr will be present as well as popular music producer Jupyter’s Galaxy and performance promoter, Roz on the Rocks.  At 8-10 am there will be food giveaways in the midst of all the excitement, so if you want healthy delicious community oriented food and lots of music production/entertainment then head down to the Avenue International Kitchen, a new eatery here to stay.
