After over a year of quarantining, experiencing reduced capacity (indoor and outdoor), and wearing masks, Monday will be the last day for the COVID-19-related restrictions in Michigan, the article added.

On Tuesday, capacity limits, (regardless of indoor and outdoor), will be removed, along with the mask mandate — no matter the vaccination status of an individual, WDIV reported.

Some requirements (like testing) might still be in effect, especially in some care facilities, along with direction on how schools will operate is slated to be announced this week, the article added.

Michigan was initially to fully reopen July 1, but the over 9 million vaccines administered plus the positive cases dropping, sped that timeline up.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will still offer assistance to residents to help them reduce the possibility of spreading as a big portion of residents have yet to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, state officials said in the article.
