The Michigan Oakland County Democratic Party is set to present the annual Phil Hart Dinner.
The highly anticipated event is seen as one of the largest Democratic events in Michigan and is expected be an evening which will celebrate Democratic values focused on the theme, “Empowering Communities: United for Progress.”
The Phil Hart Dinner honors the legacy of the late U.S. Senator Phil Hart, a lifelong Oakland County resident and a model of public service.
Known as the “Conscience of the Senate,” Senator Hart exemplified the best qualities of democracy, dedicating his life to serving the state and county with unwavering commitment.
The event sponsored by the Oakland County Democratic Party, will welcome U.S. Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett, representing the U.S. Virgin Islands.
According to a release, “Congresswoman Plaskett has earned national recognition for her exemplary leadership and service. Notably, she managed and argued during the second impeachment trial of Former President Trump, demonstrating her dedication to upholding the principles of justice and accountability.”
