Michigan Chronicle’s 2024 40 Under 40: Nominations are Open

The Michigan Chronicle is now accepting nominations for the 2024 40 Under 40 awards. Celebrating its 12th year, this prestigious initiative continues to shine a spotlight on the young Black professionals in Southeast Michigan who are making significant impacts in their fields and communities. The nominations are open for 40 individuals who exemplify the essence of change-makers, movers, and shakers within our community.

Local professionals who inspire others through their vision, leadership, exceptional achievements, and unwavering commitment to community service are recognized by this award. These individuals embody extraordinary stature, poise, and integrity, consistently breaking the mold and driving change in their respective professions and communities. They are the backbone of our society, pushing forward economic empowerment, diversity, and progress within religious and educational organizations, as well as political and community service sectors.

In 2024, we will induct a new class of honorees into the exclusive society of professionals who have previously received the distinction of becoming a 40 Under 40 honoree. These individuals are not only champions of their fields but also pillars of their communities. They represent the very best of what it means to be a leader and a role model, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps and contribute to the betterment of our society.

MAKE YOUR NOMINATIONS HERE

We call on the community to nominate those who deserve this recognition based on the following criteria:

  • African American professional, executive, or business owner
  • Proven success within their profession or industry
  • Positive role model whose contributions encourage others
  • Active in community service or organizational involvement

Nominations close on July 31 at 11:59 p.m., so it is crucial to act swiftly to ensure that deserving candidates are considered. This event is not just an award ceremony; it is a celebration of true talent, dedication, and the hard work that often goes unnoticed. It is a moment to uplift and honor those who are tirelessly working to make Southeast Michigan a better place for all.

Each year, the Michigan Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 awards serve as a powerful reminder of the incredible potential within our community. The honorees are individuals who have not only achieved remarkable success in their careers but have also made significant contributions to society. They are involved in a wide array of sectors, including business, education, healthcare, arts, and public service, reflecting the diverse talents and passions that drive our community forward.

Recognizing these young professionals is essential because it highlights the importance of representation and acknowledges the hard work and dedication required to excel in their respective fields. By celebrating their accomplishments, we inspire the next generation to aim higher and strive for excellence. These awards serve as a beacon of hope and motivation, showing that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible.

The Michigan Chronicle is proud to host the 40 Under 40 awards, and we eagerly anticipate the celebration of this year’s honorees. Their stories of success, resilience, and commitment to community service will undoubtedly inspire others and reinforce the belief that our community is filled with extraordinary individuals who are making a difference every day.

We look forward to seeing the nominations pour in and, most importantly, to honoring the exceptional individuals who make our community proud. Let us come together to celebrate their achievements and recognize their invaluable contributions to Southeast Michigan. The future is bright, and with leaders like these at the helm, we can be confident that our community will continue to thrive and prosper.
