Michigan Chronicle accepting nominations for 40 Under 40 awards

final40under40logoThe Michigan Chronicle is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Forty under 40 awards. For the past five years, the Michigan Chronicle has recognized 40 of southeastern Michigan’s best and brightest young professionals under the age of 40. Those chosen have exhibited outstanding achievement, great vision, and strong leadership in their respected professions.
Help us identify the young business leaders who deserve to become part of Michigan Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 alum.
When the “40 Under 40” program was started five years ago, the Michigan Chronicle set out to identify people under the age of 40 who are dynamic leaders in the business community. We wanted to share their stories in print and celebrate their successes. Even more, we envisioned that bringing these individuals together would grow into a powerful network of young business leaders from all sectors of the business community. And that these individuals would leverage that network to make even greater contributions to the region’s economy and civic dialog.
The roster of individuals and the companies and organizations they represent are remarkable every year. They represent the city’s most well-respected companies in southeastern Michigan. You dine in their restaurants. You listen to their music. You conduct business with them. Sit on philanthropic boards with them. Run industry organizations with them. They have an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit that propels the economy today and will for years to come.
Each year the Michigan Chronicle publishes a special 40 Under 40 edition in the business section of the newspaper to showcase their accomplishments and contributions. Submission deadline for nominations is Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Nominees will be notified by mid-December.
For more information about nominations/application process, please contact Jasmen Jackson at jjackson@realtimesmedia.com or call 313-963-8100 ext. 250. Click here to nominate a local business leader. #MC40Under40
