The historic Michigan Central Station will be temporarily closed on July 5th and 6th to observe the holiday weekend. This will ensure that staff and visitors can celebrate and relax during this festive period.

The public hours for Summer at The Station will resume on July 12. We have already welcomed nearly 17,000 visitors to The Station over the first two weekends of summer. This follows the impressive turnout of over 65,000 individuals who toured the landmark during the Michigan Central OPEN festivities earlier this month.

Remember that Summer at The Station takes place every Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until August 31. During this event, visitors can enjoy self-guided tours of the beautifully restored former train station. Additionally, visitors are always welcome to stay for a delightful experience featuring food, drinks, and live entertainment on the plaza in front of Newlab at Michigan Central. It’s a perfect opportunity to soak up the summer vibes and explore this historic location.

During Summer at The Station, all are welcome to join the tours or events without needing tickets or registration. Visitors are encouraged to utilize the convenient parking at the Bagley Mobility Hub at 1501 Wabash, just a block south of The Station.

It’s important to note that parking during Summer at The Station hours is free of charge. If you require ADA parking, it is available within the parking garage, and there is also an ADA drop-off point near The Station’s east entry on 15th Street between Marantette and Dalzelle.
