A Louisiana man is facing hate crime charges after video showed him harassing his Black neighbor, ramming into a vehicle, shouting threats, and firing a shot at the man recording him, per Atlanta Black Star.

In the video, 56-year-old Ray Fortenberry was captured confronting his neighbor in Tallulah, Louisiana after allegedly hitting a parked vehicle and returning to the scene in a different car.

“The motherf***** ain’t got to park in the middle of the road,” Fortenberry said in the video as he approached his neighbor’s driveway.

The man filming the interaction repeatedly asked Fortenberry to leave his property.

“Could you please get out of the yard and back in your vehicle?” the man asked multiple times.

Fortenberry initially appeared to leave, saying, “I mean, I love Black people… I’m a nice guy.”

However, Fortenberry went on to retrieve a rifle from his vehicle, return to the property, and open fire directly at the man recording.

“Let me tell you something. I’m sick of this s***,” Fortenberry said as he shot the gun, prompting the neighbor to duck and draw his own firearm.

“You hear me? Get in the house!” Fortenberry continued. “You motherf**s! You keep filming me all you want to… you gonna get one in your fing head.”

The video ended with Fortenberry walking back to his vehicle and driving off.

“He’s going to jail,” the neighbor said in the vehicle.

According to reports, Fortenberry was arrested at his home shortly after the incident. He was charged with eight counts of aggravated assault, eight counts of illegal use of a firearm, eight counts of hate crimes, and one count of terrorism.

Tallulah Police Chief Buster McCoy confirmed that Fortenberry “continued to threaten bodily harm while pointing the assault rifle at the individuals” upon returning to the property. Fortenberry’s bond has been set at $215,000.
