
The longest-serving member of Congress in U.S. History, John Dingell is scheduled to officially announce his retirement today, according to reports by the Detroit News and Fox 2 News.
Dingell, 87, told the Free Press that he’d reached the decision to retire at the end of his current term. He is set to address the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber at noon.
