Michigan based spirits company Motu Viget, is partnering with fashion designer, lifestyle specialist, and one of Detroit’s premiere creatives Ty Mopkins. This move marks a new partnership in the growing spirits company. Motu Viget was founded by recording artist and investor Willie ‘Willie the Kid’ Jackson, Jamiel Robinson, Jonathan Jelks, and Andrea Wallace in 2019. The Grand Rapids based company has 4 products Motu Viget Brut, Eye Candy Rose’, Avani Supreme Vodka and the soon to be released Roselawn Select Wine. Motu has placements in 300 stores including 80 super-centers stores within the Meijer portfolio. All Motu Viget products are manufactured in Michigan using locally sourced agriculture.
Mopkins is known internationally for his consultancy work via the Mopkins group LLC., where he has worked with apparel brands of the highest caliber, including Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Fila, and New Era Company.
Mopkins has received most recognition of late for his exclusive national collaborations with Starter brand, a company popularized in the late 1990s. His exclusive designs and product releases have helped to revive the legacy sports apparel company.
In celebration of Ty’s partnership in the company Motu Viget will be releasing a new wine ‘Roselawn Select’ an ode to Ty’s Westside Detroit neighborhood growing up.

Joining Ty in partnership in Motu Viget Spirits is non-profit visioneer and entrepreneurial ecosystem builder James “Screal” Eberheart Jr. James “Screal” Eberheart Jr. has been responsible for Motu Viget operations and distribution in the Detroit area since May of 2021.
