Owner, President of redbox+ Dumpsters Talks Trash

Kelli Corning, local owner of redbox+ Dumpsters doesn’t mind talking trash.

As the president and owner of the redbox+ of Metro Detroit for the past nine months, she wants others to know that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to waste disposal.

“As the president of redbox+ Dumpsters of Metro Detroit, I lead the organization supported by a skilled and qualified team with experience across waste management, commercial driving, and customer experience,” Corning told the Michigan Chronicle. “We currently have 96 roll-off containers to support our customers so I am also always ensuring our team is living up to the redbox+ Dumpsters mission of on-time, exceptional customer service.”

Redbox+ is announcing its recent expansion into the Metro Detroit area, bringing its innovative design that combines portable toilets with a roll-off dumpster. redbox+ of Metro Detroit North is locally owned and ready to partner with residents and contractors in Metro Detroit to provide solutions to everyday waste disposal needs and frustrations.

Americans are spending more time than ever on waste removal, whether it’s at a construction site or in their driveway, especially if they’re also required to rent portable restrooms. The Portable Sanitation Association International reported that construction companies waste thousands of dollars a day on lost time based on poor restroom placement.

redbox+ Metro Detroit North offers multiple sizes and options: 15, 20, 30, and 40-yard standard dumpsters, as well as Elite 20 and 30-yard options with an attached portable restroom.

Corning said that she had a desire to improve waste management experiences and bringing her business (which she began this past May) to the area was a no-brainer.

“Metro-Detroit is an ideal location for redbox+ Dumpsters because I felt as though there was something missing in the industry when it came to on-site projects around cleanliness, efficiency, and customer service,” she said. “That is where redbox+ Dumpsters is coming into play with our innovate solution combining 2 services in 1, the roll-off container and portable toilet that focuses on care and safety.”

Since its inception, redbox+ has offered roll-off containers with portable restrooms to thousands of constructions and residential sites across the United States. redbox+ realized the need for efficiency and organization in construction sites and created the only combo restroom and roll-off dumpster on the market to increase convenience and savings for customers.

“We were attracted to the redbox+ business model by the unique offering as well as the support provided by the parent company BELFOR and the corporate team,” said Corning in a press release. “With our team’s background in customer service, systems, and waste management, I’m confident in our ability to serve Metro Detroit contractors and homeowners with a U.S. patented product that can fit all of their project needs.”

Once customers are finished with the dumpster, a redbox+ representative will arrive to pick up the container by the end of the next business day. redbox+ can also empty a dumpster mid-project and return the container so customers can finish jobs on a deadline.

Corning added that after seeing how the portable waste management concept grew — due to the increase in the need for the service industry as a result of the growing number of renovation projects during and after the endemic – her company is beyond fortunate to see great success. She encourages others (in and beyond C-Suite) to consider making their move, too – especially as an entrepreneur.

Corning, who has an extensive background in managing several sectors and organizations, said that before embarking as an entrepreneur, she worked in corporate IT and supply chain management including successful leadership roles in launching and running an e-commerce business.

“Anyone with a background in managing an organization in the consumer products, automotive and manufacturing industry or with experience at a start-up who is looking to serve their community should look into redbox+ Dumpsters,” she said. “It does help to have a knowledge base in the waste management industry as well in order to cater to your audience on both a commercial and residential level.”
