Kaplan Career Institute's Detroit Campus To Host Graduation Ceremony Friday

496 Students to be Recognized

DETROIT, July 23, 2010—Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit campus will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, July 23, for 496 students.  The ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the Riverfront Ballroom of the Cobo Hall Center, One Washington Blvd.  Dr. Herman B. Gray, president of Children’s Hospital of Michigan and senior vice president of the Detroit Medical Center, will keynote the ceremony.

The Detroit-based school will recognize students earning diplomas in one of four programs in the information technology and allied health fields.  Upon graduating, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study.  According to the most recent Michigan State Occupational Employment Projections, a report by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 25 percent and pharmacy technician positions by 24 percent from 2008 to 2018.

Kaplan Career Institute’s Detroit campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).  ACCSC is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
