Rapper Kanye West is oftentimes misunderstood. And after purchasing the rights to air parts of his life for $30 million, Netflix hopes to shed some of the mystery that surrounds the multifaceted man, Black Enterprise reported.
According to Complex, a documentary about West is on tap with Netflix later this year.
The project will feature unseen footage of West and his interactions over the course of 21 years. Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, known together as Coodie and Chike have filmed West’s private moments and kept the material over the decades. They co-directed Ye’s 2003 “Through the Wire” video and the third version of “Jesus Walks,” according to the article. The project doesn’t have a name yet.
The documentary will be focusing on West’s career highs and monumental lows personally and professionally.
