Dr. Kimberly Stokes-Mason

Dr. Kimberly Stokes-Mason is a counseling psychologist, certified educator, researcher, and speaker dedicated to advancing culturally grounded mental health care. She serves as a staff psychologist at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, providing counseling, outreach, and clinical supervision. Her clinical and research interests focus on promoting the mental health experiences of Black women and mothers through wellness practices and intergenerational legacies of care. Her scholarship has been published in the Harvard Educational Review and The Journal of Black Psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University, is a proud Howard University alumna, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the Association of Black Psychologists. She cherishes the support of family, friends, and the love and partnership of her husband, Dexter Mason.
