Dorothy “Dee” Smith

Dorothy “Dee” Smith is a nonprofit executive and social impact strategist with nearly two decades of experience building cross-sector partnerships, mobilizing investments, and advancing community impact. As Director of Strategy & Partnerships at Teen HYPE Youth Development Program, she helps shape strategies that strengthen Detroit’s youth development ecosystem and expand opportunities for young people. Her leadership advances programs and partnerships reaching more than 3,000 young people, families, and community members annually. Beyond Teen HYPE, Dee is the Founder and President of The Well Initiative Women’s Association, Inc., which is reimagining how communities recognize, invest in, and support the women whose everyday contributions sustain them. Dee is most energized by bold ideas, untapped opportunities, and collaborations with people who can help bring them to life.
