At the Michigan Chronicle, we believe our role extends far beyond traditional media outlets. Part of our commitment is to make sure that the African-American experience is publicly celebrated throughout our pages. There is no better way to do this than through enhancing our faith-based community, and reinvigorating the relationship between the Black press and the Black church – a partnership that goes back almost 200 years.
That is why we are proud to introduce PraiseConnectDetroit.com, a dedicated digital and print media platform devoted to faith-friendly commentary, issues, and events in southeastern Michigan and throughout the state.
With this official launch, we pay homage to the single most powerful social engine in our community — the Black church, the cornerstone of our community.
We hope that our readers will applaud PraiseConnectDetroit.com-supported efforts like the “First Ladies – First Day” Detroit Public Schools attendance campaign detailed in this week’s PraiseConnectDetroit.com section.
And we encourage attendance at special events like our “2012 Pastors Salute – Politics and the Pulpit” program, which will honor Detroit’s pastoral leaders and their role in shaping public policy and representation in this important election year.
There is a lot happening in our faith-based community. Discover it at PraiseConnectDetroit.com.
