The Detroit Auto Show has unveiled an exciting lineup of 35 automotive brands, showcasing a diverse array of vehicles from manufacturers and dealerships in the metro Detroit area. From September 13 to 24, 2023, visitors to the event at Huntington Place in Detroit will have the unique opportunity to explore this impressive collection of brands all in one location.
This year’s event, dubbed “Vehicle Brands, A to V,” promises an impressive roster of corporate and regionally supported vehicle displays. Among the featured brands are Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Ram, Tesla, Toyota, and Volkswagen. In addition to these, the show will feature dealer-supported vehicle displays representing Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Polestar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Volvo. Show organizers have hinted at a few surprises yet to be revealed.
Detroit Auto Show Executive Director Rod Alberts expressed excitement about the broad spectrum of brands and vehicles on display, emphasizing the show’s commitment to showcasing all the brands available in the region. The blend of corporate and dealer-supported displays is a trend seen at auto shows nationwide, reflecting the future success of automotive exhibitions. According to Alberts, each mainstream brand will feature multiple models and clear branding, simplifying navigation for visitors and enabling them to explore various makes and models. Moreover, this year’s show aims to educate consumers about new mobility options and the evolving automotive industry.
A notable addition to this year’s event is the Exotic and Luxury Showcase, featuring some of the world’s most prestigious automotive marques. This exclusive area will captivate supercar enthusiasts and remain open throughout the show’s duration. It will also offer a glimpse into the future of personal mobility with a futuristic flying car from California-based Alef Aeronautics.
Alberts described the showcase as a powerhouse display, presenting everything from current and future vehicles to electric products and 800-horsepower exotics. Moreover, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Tesla, and Volkswagen will showcase their electric vehicles on the Powering Michigan EV Experience indoor track ride-along activation, sponsored by the Powering Michigan team of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 58 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Outside of Huntington Place, Ford and Tesla will provide street course ride-and-drives, allowing visitors to experience their vehicles along the Detroit riverfront on parts of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix downtown race circuit.
