Go With The Flow by Hazel: A Journey of Wellness and Reconnection

In a world where the postpartum experience can often feel overwhelming and isolating, Hazel has created a sanctuary for women to pause, breathe, and reconnect with their bodies. The recent wellness event was a testament to the importance of self-care and community in the fourth trimester when new mothers often need them the most.

Meet Hazel: A New Beginning

The day began with an introduction to Hazel, setting the tone for the day with a focus on embracing the changes that come with new motherhood. Attendees were introduced to the High & Dry Brief, a disposable brief designed for those occasional leaks many women experience postpartum. This practical and empowering product served as a reminder that adapting to a “new body” is a journey that deserves understanding and support.

Juice Bar with Drought & Breakfast with Miroh Meals

Guests were treated to nourishing refreshments, including fresh juices from Drought and a delightful breakfast provided by Miroh Meals. The atmosphere was light and inviting, with attendees mingling and enjoying connecting with other mothers. Participants could also indulge in chair massages between bites, offering a soothing start to the day.

Perfectly Imperfect Portraits & Pelvic Floor 101

A highlight of the morning was the opportunity to capture the beauty of the postpartum body with Perfectly Imperfect Portraits. These portraits celebrated the uniqueness of each woman’s journey and embraced the changes that come with motherhood.

The focus shifted to an intimate, educational, intimate, fireside chat with Dr. Kamaria Washington of Pelvic Noire. Dr. Washington provided invaluable insights into the pelvic floor, a topic often overlooked but crucial for postpartum recovery. Her Q&A session allowed participants to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of their bodies, further empowering them on their journey.

Pelvic Flow: Moving with Intention

Following the discussion, attendees moved into a guided Pelvic Flow session led by Dr. Washington. This 30-minute session encouraged women to reconnect with their bodies through gentle movement and mindful breathing, reinforcing the importance of pelvic health in the postpartum period.

Bites & Relax: Nourishing the Body and Mind

The midday session featured light bites provided by Miroh Meals and insightful tips on postpartum nutrition and mental health from Chiyo, emphasized the connection between what we eat and how we feel, particularly in the delicate months following childbirth.

As the day drew to a close, the event concluded with a calming Sound Bath led by Soojin Kim, offering a moment of deep relaxation and reflection.

Each participant was left with a carefully curated swag bag with products to support their continued wellness journey.

The day was not just an event but a reminder that in the fourth trimester, taking time to breathe, connect, and nourish oneself is not just a luxury—it’s essential. Hazel’s High & Dry Briefs are now available in select Meijer stores, click here for locations
