Earlier this year, Randal was appointed as Wayne County’s Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel of the Real Estate, Tax and Public Services Division. Since then, he renegotiated the County’s “Meals on Wheels” and homeless shelter agreements, resulting in savings to the County without compromising services to seniors and families.  He also finalized agreements to sell over 200 acres near DTW, which will create new construction and logistics jobs.

Randal has received multiple state and national awards, including the Just the Beginning Foundation’s “20 under 40” and the Lawyers of Color “Hot List.”

Last year, Randal ran the Free Press Marathon, finishing in the Top 10% in his first competitive race and raising funds to support Detroit PAL, in honor of his mentor, the late Kenneth Lewis.

Currently, Randal is the Wolverine Bar Association’s President and on the board of the Rose Hill Center, a nationally recognized mental health facility.

Randal graduated from Howard University School of Law in 2006 and the University of Delaware in 2003.

Randal resides in Detroit with his wife, Heather, and their two boys, Remington (4) and Ruben (2).
