Bryant L. George
Born and raised on the Northwest side of Detroit, Bryant L. George is the Executive Director of the Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund – A National Scholarship and Mentoring Program for African American males. Mr. George became the first in his family to earn a four-year degree from Madonna University. Bryant made a commitment to obtain his degree after witnessing many of his childhood peers (black males) become incarcerated or dead after high school.
Bryant founded the Bridging Lost Gaps (BLG) scholarship and mentorship program – for African American males from Detroit, MI, at Madonna University. Due to his dedication and service in higher education, Mr. George has received local and national recognition such as: The Distinguished Man of Benevolence Award: Spirit of Detroit Award, Detroit City Council (2013 & 2014): Black Male Engagement – Detroit Leadership Award: Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund Graduate Alumni of the Year Award: WXYZ Channel 7 Detroit 2020 -ACT Award Finalist: Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund Mentor of the Year Award.
George is finishing his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Student Affairs.
