Get Ready, Detroit! The Ultimate Whodunit, “CLUE,” Is Coming to the Fisher Theatre

If you love a good mystery, a hearty laugh, and a night of classic theater, then mark your calendars—because CLUE, the wildly entertaining murder mystery comedy, is heading to Detroit’s Fisher Theatre from February 4 to 9, 2025.

Inspired by the iconic Hasbro board game and the beloved 1985 cult classic film, CLUE takes audiences straight into the chaos of Boddy Manor, where six suspicious guests find themselves tangled in a deadly night of secrets, blackmail, and—of course—murder. Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or perhaps Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? With a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud script, this stage adaptation keeps you guessing and laughing until the very last moment.

Under the expert direction of Broadway’s Casey Hushion (Mean Girls, The Prom, Aladdin), CLUE brings together a top-tier creative team, including scenic designer Lee Savage, costume designer Jen Caprio, lighting designer Ryan O’Gara, and sound designer Jeff Human. The script is based on the original screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, adapted by Sandy Rustin, with additional material from Hunter Foster and Eric Price and original music by Michael Holland.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the board game or the movie or just love a good night of mystery and mayhem, CLUE is a must-see. The production has been praised as:

  • “A very fun whodunit that strikes contemporary parallels on the way to its grand reveal.” – The New York Times
  • “Reminds you what a breezy night of pure entertainment feels like.” – TheaterMania
  • “Extraordinarily entertaining.” – Broadway World

The CLUE franchise has been a staple of pop culture since 1949, when the board game Cluedo (as it was originally named) first hit the shelves. Over 200 million copies later, the game remains a favorite worldwide. In 1985, Paramount Pictures released a film adaptation starring Tim Curry, which gained a devoted following thanks to its hilarious script, over-the-top performances, and multiple alternate endings. Now, this thrilling mystery-comedy has found new life on stage, delighting audiences across North America.

  • Venue: Fisher Theatre, 3011 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI
  • Dates: February 4–9, 2025
  • Tickets: Starting at $40 (includes parking & facility fee)

Don’t miss your chance to experience the mystery, the comedy, and the outrageous fun of CLUE live on stage. Gather your crew, get your detective hats on, and prepare for a night of pure entertainment.
