DETROIT – Saxophonist Gerald Albright says Detroit is one of his favorite places to visit and perform. The Grammy nominated saxophonist is celebrating his 35th career. He took to the stage Wednesday at The Aretha Ampitheater, a part of the venue’s 2021 Jazzy Nights Season.
In an interview with Michigan Chronicle, Albright talked about the relevancy of contemporary jazz today, his tour with Anita Baker, and expressed a special moment he encountered with the late Aretha Franklin.
