Game Changers: Celebrating Disability Pride Month

For the fourth consecutive year, Game Changers is recognizing outstanding difference makers in the community who profoundly impact the lives of Michiganders.

As a part of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings ongoing series, in partnership with Comerica Bank, the program identifies and celebrates highly regarded leaders making a profound difference in the lives of others in underrepresented communities across the state of Michigan throughout the year.

During Disability Pride Month, Game Changers recognized community leaders working to create an inclusive environment for all. In addition to being celebrated at a Detroit Tigers game, each honoree received a $1,000 grant dedicated to the charity of their choice from the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings.

This year’s Disability Pride Month Leaders awardees include: Lisa Franklin (Founder & CEO, Warriors on Wheels of Metropolitan Detroit), Colleen Allen (President and CEO, Autism Alliance of Michigan), Camille Proctor (Founder & Executive Director, The Color of Autism Foundation), and Patrick Romzek (Executive Director, Andrew’s Place)

Since the Game Changers program inception in 2021, $92,000 has been contributed to local organizations committed to improving Metro Detroit communities.
