'Freshly Grounded Black People'

A recipe for tagliatelle, a pasta dish called for sardines, proscuitto and “freshly grounded black people.”

The misprint was found in 7,000 copies of “Pasta Bible,” a recipe book in Australia, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

To amend the error, the publishing company, Penguin Group Australia, reprinted 7,000 additional copies with the correct word, “pepper” costing them $18,000. However, they stated the books with the misprint would not be recalled from bookstore shelves.

“We’re mortified that this has become an issue of any kind, and why anyone would be offended, we don’t know,” said Bob Sessions, head of publishing.
