The POH Riley Foundation will host its 2nd Annual Sister & Sister Health and Education Day on Oct. 11, at POH Regional Medical Center, 50 N. Perry St., in Pontiac. Participants will receive a free mammogram.
Yvette Bing, Detroit’s First Lady, will serve as the event chair. Dr. Lewis A. Jones, Jr., Director of Breast Imaging at Ingham Regional Medical Center, will deliver the keynote address to educate women on the importance of breast cancer screenings, side effects, treatment options, recommended specialists, and any other insight women may need to make informed decisions on proper breast health.
Since 2007, the POH Riley Foundation has provided more than 800 free mammogram screenings.
