Former Detroiter Clifton Ross III finalist on BET’s ‘Sunday Best’

clifMama there goes that man!

Former Detroiter Clifton Ross III has been a participant on BET’s ‘Sunday Best’ before and is now a finalist on the show’s #SBAllStars.

“Music has always been in me for as long as I can remember,” said Ross in an interview with the Washington Post. “I have a musical family — my mom sings, my dad and sister are musicians — and I grew up in the Detroit area with gospel music legends such as BeBe and CeCe Winans and the Clark Sisters. It’s in the water.”

Ross is a former member of Detroit’s Mosaic Youth Theatre and is now a music teacher at Bryant Alternative School in Alexandria, Va.

Ross said his life has changed since appearing on second season of the gospel singing show.

“I’ve recorded new music. I sing nationally as a solo artist and as a background vocalist. My life has changed, but it seems I have unfinished business.”

Fans can vote for Ross daily up to 20 times a day through this Saturday by calling 1-855-422-1419 or an unlimited number of times online at bet.com/sundaybest.

The results will be revealed live on Sunday, August 30 during the show’s finale.
