Proceeds from tickets, sponsorships, and auction sales will benefit Forgotten Harvest’s distribution efforts to their network of over 200 agencies in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. “For the Love of Detroit” pays homage to the city & community that Forgotten Harvest has served for 33 years and features comedians who all have ties to Detroit and the state of Michigan.

Tickets for the event range $45 – $175 and are on sale now. The “Max,” the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center, home of the DSO, is located at 3711 Woodward Ave. in Midtown Detroit.

Forgotten Harvest’s fundraising goal is to raise vital funds to provide over two million meals for those in need in metro Detroit.

Terry Crews starred on the NBC Golden Globe Award-winning hit series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, hosts NBC’s top rated alternative series America’s Got Talent, spin offs AGT Champions, and AGT Extreme, and stars in the Netflix animated film The Willoughby’s.

Crews is also the face (and muscles) of Old Spice, a playable character in Microsoft’s Xbox One game Crackdown 3, and a force in the design and art world where his high-end furniture collection, in partnership with iconic Bernhardt Designs, has been picking up awards across the country. Crews was also named one of TIME Magazine’s 2017 “Person of the Year” as one of the “Silence Breakers,” speaking out against sexual harassment following the #MeToo movement that has taken the world by storm. Crews’ no-holds barred approach to work has made him a force to be reckoned with as his career continues to evolve. Crews was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past summer.

Sam Rager has been sharing her charmingly dark perspective with audiences for over a decade. Rager has been a headliner at both the inaugural Detroit Women of Comedy Festival and the inaugural Stand U.P. Festival, named a rising star in Detroit’s comedy scene by 101.9 FM WDET Detroit Public Radio, and her debut album Trigger Warning can be heard on SiriusXM.

Jeff Scheen was raised in Northern Michigan and been seen on the The Late Late Show with James Corden and can be heard on XM radio. His special Only Weirdo can also be seen on Drybar+ and YouTube.

Josh Adams was raised in Detroit and has been featured on BET’s Apollo Live, appeared on Fox’s DishNation, HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions and has won comedy festivals all over the Midwest and East Coast.
