Five colleges in the state are offering free tuition to eligible families making less than $70,000 a year.

The five colleges are Wayne State University, University of Michigan, Albion College, Michigan State University, and Saginaw State University.

According to WKFR 103.3, “Through their Wayne State Guarantee, and in partnership with the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, eligible students attending Wayne State University will deal with zero out-of-pocket expenses.” Michigan State offers free tuition, on-campus housing, and funds for some books and other classroom materials. The other colleges cover tuition and/or fees.

Each academic institution have their own set of qualifications for receiving the free funding. They all encourage anyone interested to reach out to their financial aid offices to find out how.
